The Louisburg College Hurricanes volleyball team split their matches in today?s tri-match, facing Virginia Peninsula CC and Caldwell CC & Tech.
In the first match against Virginia Peninsula, the Hurricanes dominated with a 3-0 victory. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22, and 25-13. Khori Viltz led the team with impressive kills, while Milani McGill was the defensive standout with numerous digs. The Hurricanes also excelled in serving, racking up 13 aces throughout the match.
However, the second match proved more challenging as the Hurricanes fell 0-3 to Caldwell CC & Tech. The set scores were 17-25, 16-25, and 17-25. Makaylah Simmons was the leading attacker with the most kills, and both Remiah Stripling and Milani McGill contributed significantly in digs. Despite their efforts, the Hurricanes struggled with attacking errors and faced relentless pressure from Caldwell, particularly at the service line.
