The lady canes have faced a tough stretch of conference games in the month of October. They lost 2 matches over the weekend vs Fayetteville tech and USCS.

Last night they played well and had set points but failed to convert. Canes were up 24-21 in the 1st set and gave up 5 straight points to lose 26-24.  They faced a similar situation in set 2 and lost

26-24. The home team came out and played a fired up set 3 to come back and take the lead late in the set and win 25-21.  

Lenior played better during some of the longer rallies in set 4 and got the victory 25-21 and 3-1 overall.  

The canes were led by McKenna Griffin with 27 kills and 3 aces.  Lindsay Kirby, Jayla Thomas, Rebecca Brown played great on defense and helped keep the team in the match. 

The canes face 3 final conference games over the next 8 days. That will decide if they make it into the Region X tournament. They are in 8th place now and will need to finish strong to make the top 8 teams.
