Hurricane Scholar-Athletes

Louisburg College has recognized 128 students as scholar-athletes, awarding a record number with medals for exemplary work in the classroom in spring and fall 2017.

President Brown and Athletic Director Mike Holloman, congratulated each student. Scholar-athletes represented the baseball; football; men’s and women’s basketball, cross country and soccer; softball, volleyball and cheerleading teams.

Gold medals were awarded to 16 varsity student-athletes earning a grade point average of 4.0 at least one of the two semesters. Fifty-nine students received silver medals for earning a GPA of 3.5 to 3.99. Bronze medals were given to 73 students earning between 3.0 and 3.49.
