Canes volleyball team record is 5-1 and they hit the road to play 4th ranked Catawba Valley this week

Lady canes volleyball hosted a tri match this past Saturdy at the Roger Taylor Center. The Canes played Bryant Stratton first and lost a tough match 3-1 to start the day.
They lost a very tight 4th set which could have gone either way 29-27. They Canes were led by Mckenna Griffin who had 20 kills and 11 digs and Rebecca Brown who had 34 assists and 11 digs.
The Hurricances played Davidson Community College in the later match and were able to come away with a 3-0 win. Both teams played tough defense and fought hard in the 3rd set which went down to the wire with Canes winning 26-24.
Mckenna Griffin led the way with 19 kills and 13 digs, Leah Tolson had 7 kills and 3 blocks. Lindsay Kirby and Jayla Thomas had a good defensive effort with 39 total digs.
Rebecca Brown had 32 assists and 13 digs.
The Lady Hurricances Volleyball team go on the road this week to Catawba Valley CC
