Lady Hurricanes lose in 1st round of conference tournament to 8th ranked team in nation
Pasco-Hernando defeated #7 Louisburg (3-0)
Hurricanes had a tough match vs one of the best teams in the country and came away with a good experience in the 3-0 loss.
Rebecca Sheehan had 22 digs in the loss, and Elizabeth Tuton had 10 kills to lead the team in a losing effort.
"We played hard all season and managed to get some good wins for the school. I think we will come back strong next fall with 6 returners who all played alot. I am working on
bringing in some talented recruits which should help put us in the top tier of the conference next season. I appreciate all the work they put in this season. We had a few
matches that didnt go our way, which would have made a big difference at the end of the year. I hope kids use those experiences as motivation to help win all the close matches next fall. "
Overall the team finished up with a 20-10 record. Which was the first time in many years the volleyball program has won 20 matches.
Coach Garner took over the program in January 2017 and brought in a good recruiting class. With 3 returners and the new freshman
they were able to fight hard all season. They had 3 players finish with all conference awards
Elizabeth Tuton was 1st team all conference
Faith Galassi was 2nd team all conference
Rebecca Sheehan was 2nd team conference
