Canes battle to a 3-1 set win over Rockingham Community College

Lady Hurricanes came out a little slow to start the match against a fiesty Rockingham Community College. The set went back and forth with RCC

taking set 1 and the end by 2 points. Canes came back to win set 2 with some timely blocks and serves. 

The Canes went on a big run with Aliza Williams at the service line in set 3. She managed to serve RCC into trouble while Lizzy Tuton had a few kills and blocks during the run also

The 4th set was a battle again as both teams played great defense. The lady canes managed to fight back and win the set 27-25 and take the match 3-1.

 

Faith Galassi led the team with 14 kills. Aliza Williams had 7 aces 

Faith Myers had 37 assists

 

"We are playing better in spurts and trying to play more consistent as a group. I think starting conference this weekend we will try to focus

on playing more consistent. The hitters are starting to come around and serving was better this match. We are looking forward to conference competition."

 

Canes visit Bryant and Stratton this weekend , and play an out of conference match vs Guilfort Tech.
