The Louisburg College Women's Soccer team scored 3 goals at home in a 3-3 tie against Southwest Virginia Community College. This was the first match between the two programs since 2019.

Sophomore midfielder Morgan Jones scored a hat-trick for the Hurricanes with goals in the 3rd, 15th, and 48th minutes. Freshman defender Stephanie Mendoza had the first two assists of the game, while fellow freshman Cora Watkins provided the third assist for Louisburg in the second half.

"We played really well together today and saw some of the quality we have on our team this year," said Coach Fresco, "It's exciting and we look forward to building on this result."

The Lady Hurricanes begin region play this weekend with an away game on Friday at Cape Fear Community College and a home game on Sunday against Richard Bland College.
