Women's Basketball Ends Regular Season with 24th Win

Louisburg College Hurricanes Women's Basketball clinched a hard-fought victory against Richard Bland College in a closely contested matchup. The Hurricanes secured the win with a final score of 76-71, showcasing their resilience and determination on the court.

Leading the scoring charge for Louisburg College was Dyimond Sturdivant, who tallied an impressive 15 points along with 11 rebounds, proving to be a dominant force throughout the game. Trinity Smith and Kandace Daniels also made significant contributions, with Smith adding 15 points, including three three-pointers, and Daniels contributing 14 points along with five assists.

On the defensive end, Chloe Rush and Kimora Cox played crucial roles for the Hurricanes, grabbing a combined total of 15 rebounds and providing solid interior defense against Richard Bland College's offense.

Louisburg College capitalized on their opportunities at the free-throw line, converting 77.3% of their attempts, with key contributions from Carolina Coria and Mackenzie Chabala off the bench.

Despite facing a determined opponent, the Hurricanes maintained their composure and executed their game plan effectively, capitalizing on their scoring chances.

With this victory, the Louisburg College Hurricanes Women's Basketball team concludes the season with a record of 24-4 (20-4).  They also will hold the third seed in the Region 10 DII Women's Basketball Tournament held at Brunswick Community College March 7-9.
