Louisburg College Dominates on Sophomore Day

Louisburg College showcased their dominance on their home court as they cruised to an impressive 82-52 victory over Cleveland Community College. The Hurricanes put on a commanding performance, particularly in the second half, to secure the win.

The game started with both teams trading baskets, but Louisburg found themselves trailing after the first quarter, with Cleveland holding a slim 15-7 lead. However, Louisburg quickly regrouped and turned the tide in the second quarter, outscoring Cleveland 19-10 to take a 26-25 lead into halftime.

The Hurricanes came out of the halftime break with renewed energy, dominating the third quarter with a 29-16 scoring run. Louisburg's offensive firepower, led by Trinity Smith and Kimora Cox, proved too much for Cleveland to handle as they extended their lead.

Louisburg continued to pour on the pressure in the final quarter, adding 27 more points to their tally while maintaining their defensive intensity to limit Cleveland's scoring opportunities.

Trinity Smith ld the scoreing for Louisburg with 15 points.  While Kandace Daniels and Chloe Rush scored 14 points each, supported by strong contributions from Deaysha Hartsfield and Dyimond Sturdivant. The Hurricanes' balanced scoring attack and solid team effort propelled them to a convincing victory.

With this victory, Louisburg College impoves to 22-4 overal and 19-4 in Region 10.  The Hurricanes maintain their strong position in the league standings and continues to build momentum as they approach the postseason.
