Men’s soccer gets first road win of the season

The Louisburg College men's soccer team overwhelmed Virginia Peninsula Community College with an 11-0 victory on the road. The match showcased a relentless attack and a disciplined defense, marking a standout performance for the Hurricanes.

The scoring onslaught began early, with Arata Tanaka finding the net just ten minutes into the game, assisted by Boni Salinas. The goals continued to pour in, as Jason Salinas scored in the 18th minute, followed by Tanaka again just four minutes later, extending the lead to 3-0.

By the end of the first half, Louisburg had established a commanding 7-0 lead, with contributions from Trey Makoni and a brace from Boni Salinas, who was instrumental throughout the match. The Hurricanes ended the half with a barrage of goals, leaving Virginia Peninsula unable to respond.

The second half saw no let-up in Louisburg?s intensity. Tanaka scored his third goal in the 60th minute, followed by Vincente Carachure, Jeremy Jimenez, and Jesus Villamil Rodr�guez each adding to the scoreline. With a total of 53 shots compared to Virginia Peninsula's zero, Louisburg dominated possession and created numerous scoring opportunities.

Defensively, the Hurricanes were equally impressive, recording four saves while limiting Virginia Peninsula to no shots on goal. The stats told a clear story: 11 goals, 53 shots, and a relentless performance that left no doubt about Louisburg's superiority on the day.
