In a dramatic overtime showdown at home, Louisburg College men's basketball fell to Patrick & Henry Community College, 85-83. Despite a second-half comeback, the Hurricanes couldn't hold on in overtime, ultimately losing by just two points.
The game started with Patrick & Henry pulling ahead in the first half, taking a 44-36 lead at halftime. Louisburg rallied in the second half, outscoring their opponents 43-35 to even the game and force an extra period. However, Patrick & Henry's defense held firm in overtime, allowing Louisburg only four points to secure the narrow victory.

Malachi McLean led with 19 points, hitting 7 of 17 shots, including two three-pointers, while dishing out three assists. Xander Booker, Nehemiah McDonald, and RJ Bridges each added 14 points, with Booker and McDonald contributing nine crucial free throws on twelve attempts each and Bridges hitting 6 of 7 from the line.
Louisburg struggled with shooting efficiency throughout the game, hitting only 39.1% from the field and 21.7% from beyond the arc. However, they made up for it at the free-throw line, converting 75.7% of their 37 attempts.
Down by eight at the half, the Hurricanes' resilience shone through in the second half, as they clawed their way back into contention. Louisburg managed to tie things up and push the game into overtime. However, they fell short in the final stretch, as a turnover led to a run out basket to seal the contest for Patrick & Henry.
