Men's Basketball falls to Guilford Tech

104 points was not enough for Louisburg College men's basketball to hold off Guilford Tech 105-104 Saturday afternoon in Jamestown, NC. The Hurricanes entered the contest trying to win their fourth in a row, but came up short in the final seconds.

"Guilford Tech has three guys who can score it," said Louisburg head coach Bryan Bagwell. "We helped them with second chance opportunities, but honestly the biggest difference was our 16 turnovers to their 8. When they turned it over there was normally a stoppage in play, but when we turned it over it was a live ball turnover and we were never able to set our defense."

There were several lead changes in the game including a 9 point lead for Guilford Tech in the second half quickly turning to 7 point lead for the Hurricanes, before Guilford Tech finished the game with the 1 point margin.

Antonio Patterson finished the game with 26 points and 9 rebounds. De'Shone Hicks contributed 25 and Jordan Beale added 15 points. The Hurricanes bench outscored Guilford Tech 23 to 11.

The Hurricanes return to action to take on league leading Davidson County Community College in Thomasville, NC this Wednesday night at 7 pm.
