Hurricanes defeated at Lenoir Community College

Louisburg College men's basketball was defeated Wednesday at Lenoir Community College.

At one point the Hurricanes we behind by twenty points in the first half, but were able to tie it 45-45 by halftime. The final score was 89-98.

The Hurricanes made 12 3-point field goals in the contest including 5 from Jordan Beale and 4 from Antonio Patterson, but it was not enough to outscore Lenoir.

According to Head Coach Bryan Bagwell, "We made a few shots, but we never had an edge in our defensive approach. We came out flat, and for 40 minutes nobody changed that."

The loss drops the Hurricanes to the middle of the league standings halfway through Region X play. "This is not where we set out to be when the year started," said Coach Bagwell. "We have faced obstacles, but nothing we have faced should change our expectations. We need to find a willingness to consistently do the things required to get the results we say we want."

The Hurricanes return home on Saturday to face Catawba Valley Community College. Tip off is at 3:00 pm.
