In a challenging match played at Potomac High School Football Stadium in Dumfries, Virginia, the Louisburg College Hurricanes fell to the Lackawanna College Falcons by a score of 7-24, marking their first loss of the season.
The game saw a slow start with the Falcons leading 3-0 after the first quarter. The key turning point came in the second quarter when the Hurricanes fumbled after a promising pass completion near midfield. Lackawanna capitalized on the mistake, recovering the ball and advancing it to the Louisburg 3-yard line. On the very next play, the Falcons scored a touchdown, extending their lead to 10-0 by halftime.
The third quarter saw Lackawanna's dominance continue as they added two more touchdowns, pushing the score to 24-0 and seemingly putting the game out of reach.
Louisburg finally broke through in the fourth quarter with a dramatic 58-yard touchdown pass, avoiding the shutout and bringing the final score to 7-24.
