Hurricane Football team loses a thriller to Nassau 21-20 in overtime

The Hurricanes started off strong taking an early lead in the 1st quarter on a 16yard touchdown pass from Nate Harden to Tre'Von Robinson. They converted the two point conversion to take an 8-0 lead into halftime.

Early in the 3rd quarter Harden threw a 26 yard touchdown pass to Devon Beckford but the 2pt conversion failed. Louisburg held the 14-0 lead going into the 4th quarter. Nassau Community College was able to put up 14 points in the 4th quarter.

They scored with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter to tie up the game which eventually led to overtime.  Louisburg was able to take the ball in overtime and score quickly on a 2 yard run by Harden to make it 20-14 but the 2 pt conversion failed. 

Nassau got possession and scored on a 3 yard run. They were able to convert the extra point and win the game 21-20

 

Nassau gained 296 total yards to Louisburg 272 total yards in the game. Nate Harden had two touchdown passes and one interception in the game. 

Travon Alston, Devon Beckford, Lamarius Kinslow each had 8 tackels to lead the Canes.
