Matthew Mozynski was named head men’s soccer coach at Louisburg College on March 21, 2022.

“Coach Mozynski brings a wealth of experience as both a player and coach, and we believe his background will make him a strong leader for our men’s soccer program,” said Athletic Director Mike Holloman at the time of his hiring. “We are excited to welcome Matt to the Hurricane family.”

Mozynski arrived at Louisburg following a stint as assistant coach for Stumptown Athletic, a professional club competing in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) in Charlotte. Prior to that, he served as assistant director of goalkeeping for North Carolina FC, where he worked with more than 50 goalkeepers weekly. His coaching experience also includes stops as an assistant at Durham Academy (2019) and Meredith College (2018–19).

A standout goalkeeper at Campbell University, Mozynski was a four-year starter for the Camels and went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from Campbell. Following his collegiate career, he played semi-professionally and professionally in Canada, the Dominican Republic, Charlotte, and Chattanooga.

In addition to coaching at the collegiate and professional levels, Mozynski is the founder and president of Next Big Thing Soccer, a non-profit organization established in 2019. The club offers recreational leagues, summer camps, goalkeeper training, personal training, and ID camps, while also assisting players from across the United States in finding college opportunities—a mission he continues at Louisburg College.
