It was the Women's turn to open up their season Saturday, September 9th, competing at Catawba's home course. They placed 7th, winning a tiebreaker against Livingstone. The Canes top trio of Alana Morgan, Imperial Harris, and Adanna Thomas all finished within 30 seconds of each other. They worked together over the 5k course and helped the team to a nice season opener.

 

"I think the Women did a good job of working together," said Coach Harvey. "It was really important to get the season started and get back into the flow of racing. There should be a significant jump in the times we see from them in the next weekend's race."

 

The Men and Women will be in action together for the first time this season Friday, September 13th at USC Upstate.
