Women's Soccer loses to Wake Tech

Louisburg College women's soccer took on Wake Tech Friday afternoon. Louisburg took an early lead with a goal from Alexis Haymond, but fell in the match 3-2.

According to Louisburg head coach Chris Fresco, "The team is progressing daily and we've been showing signs of improvement since the first day of preseason. We have a lot of potential and are focused on staying positive."

Kimberly Pacheco, Emma Pedraza, and Giselle Soriano all had 1 shot on goal for Louisburg. Andrea Cazares-Vazquez  and Alexis Haymond 2 shots on goal, each scored one goal respectively.

Kathryn Robinson and Ladenna Cornell split time in goal. Robinson faced 4 shots on goal and had 2 saves. Cornell faced 3 shots on goal and had 2 saves. Collectively the Louisburg defense allowed 4 goals in the match.

Coach Fresco reported, "We're learning about ourselves from these experiences so we can continue to improve and compete in all of our games this season."

The women will take the field again against College of Southern Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
