Women's soccer moving on to play in the Region X semi finals this weekend vs Cape Fear

Louisburg College Women's soccer clinched a Final Four spot at the Region X Tournament in Spartanburg SC this upcoming weekend by defeating USC Lancaster 5-1 at May field on Tuesday afternoon.


Ally Allbright and Courtney Senter scores a pair of goals each with Letty Cantera rounding out the scoring. Assists on the five Hurricane goals came from Carlye Wegernast, Kendall Harris and Diana Hernandez.
 
The Hurricanes used a balanced attack on offense and efficient defense to lead 2-0 at the half. They continued where they left off in the first half by scoring 3 more goals in the second period making it a 5-1 final margin of victory. 
 
"This was a huge win," said head coach Andy Stokes. "The ladies were fantastic today. We changed our tactics from the previous meeting and it came to fruition as the score reflected."
 
Louisburg will now face off with the number one seed, Cape Fear Community College, at 1pm on Saturday.
