Women's soccer team finished in a 2-2 draw vs USC Lancaster

The Louisburg College Women's Soccer team traveled to Lancaster, SC on Tuesday afternoon for a Region X matchup with USC Lancaster. At the end of 90 minutes and an overtime period, the match ended in a draw, 2-2.

The Lady Canes opened the scoring with a  Caryle Wegenast goal that was assisted on by Allison Albright. With two minutes to play before half, the Lady Canes conceded to enter the locker room knotted up at one apiece.

Louisburg fell behind early in the second half on a USC Lancaster goal, but managed to force overtime with a game tying unassisted goal in the 80th minute from Leticia Cantera.

The two teams each recorded a clean sheet in the  overtime period, giving the teams a 2-2 final.

The Hurricanes move to 3-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in Region X play. Louisburg will return to the pitch on Saturday for a home date with Stratford University at 4pm.
