#17 Women's Basketball continues win streak

In a thrilling and closely contested matchup, Louisburg College Women's Basketball secured a hard-fought victory against Wake Technical Community College, emerging with a final score of 62-55 on November 29, 2023. 

Both teams capitalized on turnovers, converting them into valuable points. Louisburg College and Wake Technical CC each scored 20 points from their opponents' mistakes, highlighting the defensive pressure and opportunistic scoring on both sides.

Despite facing challenges on the boards, Louisburg College exhibited resilience, securing 14 second-chance points. 

Individual standout performances included Kandace Daniels leading Louisburg College with 16 points, Jade Clowney, Kimora Cox and Dyimond Sturdivant's impactful three-point shooting.

Head Coach Jason Rasnake praised his team's grit and resilience, emphasizing the valuable lessons learned from this game. "Credit Wake Tech's defence tonight. They forced us to handle the ball under pressure and we learned a lot about our team in the process. While we are glad to come out with the win, we know we still have a lot to work on as the season progresses."

The Hurricanes' next game features another Region 10 opponent, Brunswick Community College, at home Saturday, December 2nd at 1pm.
