Women's Basketball with resounding victory over Fayetteville Tech

In a commanding display of skill and teamwork, the Louisburg College Women's Basketball team secured a resounding 94-59 victory over Fayetteville Technical CC. From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, the Hurricanes showcased their prowess on both ends of the court, leaving their opponents trailing.

The Hurricanes set the tone early, amassing a 20-15 lead in the first quarter. Jade Clowney, Kandace Daniels, and Jakaya Scott asserted themselves as offensive forces, finding the basket efficiently. The Hurricanes' defense also made an impact, limiting Fayetteville Tech's scoring opportunities.

Louisburg's dominance continued into the second quarter, where they outscored their opponents 25-15. Trinity Smith contributed 12 points, showcasing her scoring versatility. 

As the game progressed, the Hurricanes maintained their intensity, extending their lead to 70-46 by the end of the third quarter. Dyimond Sturdivant exhibited a balanced performance, contributing 12 points, six rebounds, and showcasing defensive prowess.

The fourth quarter saw Louisburg closing out the game with authority, adding another 24 points to their total. Amiyah Evans and Mackenzie Chabala made valuable contributions off the bench, ensuring the Hurricanes' offensive fluidity and defensive tenacity persisted until the final whistle.

Louisburg's offensive strategy, characterized by effective three-point shooting and strong inside play, left Fayetteville Technical CC struggling to contain their multifaceted attack. The Hurricanes' commitment to team basketball was evident in the well-distributed scoring, with multiple players stepping up to the challenge.

The Hurricanes moved to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in Region 10 play. They take the court again Saturday, November 18 at Southwest Virginia Community College.
