Women's Basketball defeated Patrick & Henry Community College on the road Wednesday night. The final score was 73-67.
"It was a good team win. Everybody contributed," said Coach Jason Rasnake. "We have some things to clean up defensively, but we were hitting shots this game that we weren't [in] last game and it made the difference. It was tough playing back to back days, but everybody brought all they had and it was enough to get the win."
Hurricanes in double figures included: Shelby Ricks (18), Makayla Evertte (15), Mikirea Shippy (14), and Dalesha Linebarger (12).
Ricks had 9 points in the 4th quarter to seal it for the Hurricanes.
Since returning from Christmas break the women's team is 3-3 with 2 postponements. They defeated Fayetteville Tech, Johnston Community College, and Patrick Henry; while losing to USC Salkehatchie twice and Cape Fear.
Women's Basketball will take the court against Cape Fear this Saturday at 1 pm in Roger Taylor Arena. This is a schedule change.
