Women's Basketball defeated Fayetteville Technical Community College on the road Wednesday in decisive fashion. The final score was 91-46.
The Hurricanes scored 22 or 23 points in every quarter. Makayla Everette led the Hurricanes with 24 points going 11-20 from the floor. Shelby Ricks added 17 points. Mikirea Shippy added 16, while Antonia Whorley had 10.
Shippy contributed 5 assists to the offensive effort. Everett and Whorley each collected 6 offensive rebounds as the Hurricanes collectively secured 20 second chances.
The Hurricanes will return to action on Saturday at home against Johnston Community College. The game will tip off at 1 pm.
