Big 4th quarter, Big Win

#19 Louisburg College Women's Basketball took down #4 Catawba Valley Community College on Wednesday night 92-68.

The game was close for most of the contest with the Hurricanes ahead by 2 going into halftime. "I thought we did a great job early. Every time they went on a run we would answer," said Hurricanes head coach, Jason Rasnake.

It was much of the same in the third quarter with Louisburg leading by just 6 going into the final period. The the Hurricanes out scored the Red Hawks 33-15 in the fourth quarter, led by sophomore guard Aniylah Bryant, who finished with a game high 30 points.

"Obviously it was a big night for Nyla and everyone fed off of her performance. It really was a team effort. There were many contributions from players like Charmille Browne and Bianca Perry that won't show up in the stat line, but were key to our win tonight," said Coach Rasnake.

Another quick turnaround for the Canes as they face Brunswick Community College this Saturday at 1 pm.  The game will be streamed live: https://youtu.be/quBkMqNlhWM
