In their first road game since mid-December, the Louisburg women's basketball team traveled to Region X rival Wake Technical Community College on Wednesday night.
Wake Tech took an early lead and held on to it until late in the 4th quarter. With 3:24 remaining, Louisburg's Caleah Smith hit a game tying three-pointer. On their next possession, Starasia Bell-Freshman hit the go ahead bucket off an assist from Charmille Browne.
The Hurricanes would end the game on a 22-2 run, earning a 80-66 win over the Eagles. Aniylah Bryant led all scores with 23 points.
