Louisburg took the field for the second series of the weekend on Sunday as they took both games from Daytona State. In the second inning, The Hurricanes got their offense started with a solo homerun from Sammi Jo Loney.
Louisburg offense continued as Alexis Howard drove in 4 runs on 3 hits in the game including a home run in the 6thand a home run in the 7th. Jai Deese and Haleigh Joyner also contributed to a big 7thinning.
Ina Womack was the starting pitcher for the Hurricanes. She allowed 5 hits and 2 runs over 5.2 innings in the Hurricanes win.
In Sunday's second game Louisburg continued their high-powered offense, beating Daytona State 14-4. Among 10 hits for the Hurricanes, RBIs came from Jai Deese, Sarah Hilton (2), Sammi Jo Loney, Jordyn Scott (3), and Haven Williams (3).
