Softball scores 14 in both games Friday

Louisburg softball goes 2-0 against Fayetteville Tech on Friday scoring 14 runs in each game.

In the first game the Hurricanes secured the victory thanks to 8 runs in the 3rd inning. LeeAnn Nobles, Haven Williams , Haleigh Joyner, Sarah Hilton, Jordyn Scott, and Nobles each had RBIs in the big inning.

Ina Womack led things off in the pitcher's circle for Louisburg College Hurricanes. She lasted four innings, allowing 3 hits and no runs while striking out 7. The final score was 14-0 Louisburg.

The second game ended in similar fashion as Louisburg defeated Fayetteville Tech 14-1. Mackenzie Silvia got the start for Louisburg College Hurricanes. She lasted 5 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 5 and no walks. The Hurricanes hit 2 homeruns in the game. Haleigh Joyner put one out in the second inning. Cameron Rivenbark hit hers in the fourth.

The Hurricanes will take the field on Sunday against Daytona State.
