Hurricance's cross country men's team finish 1st and womens finish 3rd place over the weekend.

Louisburg College's Cross Country teams headed to Hagan Stone state park to compete against Catawba, Charleston (West Virginia), NOVA and Sandhills CC among several other teams.

The men finished 1st overall and the women finished 3rd among solid competition. Jack Mastandrea led the way for the Hurricane men finishing 2nd overall while the Lady Canes were led by Hailey Sheehan, both for the 4th consecutive time this season.

"The plan today was to run a controlled tempo in the beginning of the race and then hammer the end. We did that very well and looked great as a whole" stated coach Hayman.

Next the Hurricanes take a week off to train before heading to Spartanburg for the Region X Championships.
