Hurricanes have solid performance in Indoor finisher

The Louisburg Hurricanes brought the Indoor Regular Season to an end on Saturday in Winston-Salem with some solid performances. 

On the men's side there were multiple top 10 finishes and PR's. Tayshaun Chisholm began the day with a stellar clocking of 8.05 in the 60 Meter Hurdles after a month lay off to take second in the event, while Aveon Reid and Naseem Alston both made the finals. In the Long Jump Kendrick Lewis made the finals with a jump of 6.37 meters. Jakari Long made the finals in the 60 Meter Dash to close the morning session.

In the afternoon the team continued their quality performances beginning with Malcolm Wade's PR in the High Jump at 1.87 Meters placing third. Tyler Burns finished the season with a 4thplace finish in the 200. 

On the distance side of things, Dennis McCheskey ran a PR in the 3000 meters with a time of 9 mins 12 seconds. While Dexter Hill had a great performance in the 800 running 2 mins 1 second for 9th

Although depleted because of sickness the women had a good day as well, highlighted by a seasons best in the 200 Meter race from Jaeda Rivera, and a 9thplace finish by Ashley Pearce in the 400. 

The Hurricanes will finish their indoor season with a trip to Lynchburg, Virginia for the NJCAA Championships on March 6-7.
