Canes finish 21st overall at Indoor National Championships in Lubbock Texas

Louisburg Track&Field brought the storm to Lubbock, TX for the Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Canes finished 21st overall with a program record of points scored at a championship.

The meet finished with several personal records and season bests from all. Highlighting performances were Jacob Willis finishing 4th in the 1000 meter final, Kyle Hinson finishing 5th in the 5k scoring from the 1st section by taking risks and dropping 20 seconds off his personal best, and finally Jack Mastandrea running a very challenging and tactical 5k in the seeded section to finish 6th overall in 15:20

Coach Hayman reviews the weekend by stating, "Jacob ran one of the best races I've seen him put together and both Kyle and Jack ran extremely tough. I am very proud of this group."

The 'Canes will bring this momentum with us into the outdoor season where they look to make it to their first outdoor championship.
