Men's soccer team now 9-2 in conference play , will play Spartanburg Methodist at home on Tuesday afternoon

The Louisburg Hurricanes Men's Soccer Team completed it's two-game season sweep against Wake Tech on Sunday, with a dominant 5-1 win. Game one against Wake Tech required some late heroics and two goals in the 90th minute to win, but the Hurricanes came out and got on the board quickly to make sure the game was never in question. 

 Bright Somuah put the Hurricanes on the scoreboard first, with a goal in the fourth minute of the game from a nice cross from Ryan GoldsmithJames Fergany put the game out of reach with a hat trick, scoring three consecutive goals with assists from Chris Barrie, Tobi Osifeso and Goldsmith. Tobi Osifeso padded the lead with a goal in the 72nd minute, to give the Hurricanes their fifth goal off an assist from Somuah.        Fergany leads the team in goal-scoring with 17 on the season with Somuah finding the back of the net seven times. Goldsmith, Louisburg's assists leader, now has 11 assists on the season. 
 
The win improves the Hurricanes record to 9-4 overall, 9-2 in Region X play. 
 
Louisburg faces Spartanburg Methodist at home on Tuesday at 2 P.M. to continue their home stretch of games before wrapping up regular season play with Region X matches against Patrick Henry on Thursday and USC Salkehatchie on Friday
