On February 2 men's basketball hosted Pitt Community College in their second match up of the year. In the previous contest Pitt won on an offensive rebound 74-73, but at Louisburg the Hurricanes prevailed 98-91.

It was a good shooting night for Louisburg as they were 56% from the field, including 10-22 from the 3 point line.

Jamel Marbuary had 20 points with 4 threes. Ayinde Taylor II contributed a double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Almando Cyrius was next with 17 points. Travon Gray had a double double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, including a perfect 6-6 from the floor. Rounding out double figure scorers was Jimmy Forte with 14 points.

"It was a good night to vindicate our road loss," said Coach Bagwell. "Pitt has great length and athleticism. We competed well tonight."

The next contest for men's basketball is on the road against Johnston Community College. Louisburg won the previous meeting.
