Men's Basketball a Rebound Short

Louisburg College men's basketball traveled to Pitt Community College on Tuesday to take on Darrick Mullins' Bulldogs.

There were several big lead changes in the game which put Pitt up 46-37 at halftime. In the second half Louisburg held Pitt to 28 points, but it wasn't enough as a Pitt player tipped in a miss in the final seconds causing the Hurricanes to lose 74-73.

"We were one rebound away from a good win," said Coach Bryan Bagwell. "I was very pleased with our defensive effort in both halves."

Offensively, Louisburg had 14 assists in the game where Ayinde Taylor II had a double double in the contest with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Almando Cyrius had 16 points, while being only 4-10 from the free throw line. Travon Gray and Jimmy Forte added 10 points.

The loss drops men's basketball 7-4 in Region X play. Their next contest is against Lenoir Community College on Thursday in Roger Taylor Arena as part of this three-game week.
