Men's basketball hosted Johnston Community College on January 14.

Johnston won the 1st half by a basket. Louisburg won the 2nd half by a basket. So the game went into overtime where the Hurricanes pulled out the victory 94-90.

The Hurricanes had 4 players in double-figures including: Omar Brown 21 (7-16, 3-8, 4-5); Almando Cyrius 20 (9-13, 1-2, 1-1); Jimmy Forte 14 (6-11, 2-6, 0-0); Travon Gray 11 (3-12, 0-2, 5-9).

In a game where every rebound mattered, Gray and Ayinde Taylor II had 10 rebounds each. Cyrius added 8.

"I'm glad we were able to walk out with the win today," said Louisburg coach Bryan Bagwell. "Johnston has a few guys who can put the ball in the basket and they did everything they could to outscore us at home."

The Hurricanes will be back in action Wednesday when Catawba Valley comes to Roger Taylor Arena for the Region X match up.
