Louisburg College men's basketball traveled to Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, North Carolina on Saturday to win the non-league contest 84-75.
"I was proud of our defense especially in the first half," said Coach Bagwell. The Hurricanes went into the locker room at half up 47-33 and caused 21 Central Carolina turnovers in the contest.
As the game progressed Louisburg led by as many as 25 with 5 minutes remaining, only to finish the game with a 9 point margin.
Almando Cyrius led the Hurricanes with 15 points. Jimmy Forte and Travon Gray each added 12. Forte led the team with 8 rebounds. Gray was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line and gathered 4 offensive rebounds himself.
Omar Brown and Jayden Munson had 5 assists each.
The win takes men's basketball to 8-6 overall as they remain 5-2 in Region X play. The Hurricanes host Johnston Community College on Saturday for a 3:00 tip off.
