Men's Basketball wins at Patrick & Henry

Louisburg College men's basketball took to the road to face Patrick & Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia. The game–played on January 5–was the first of 2023.

A one possession game at half time turned into a 92-85 win for Louisburg.

"Patrick & Henry is very well coached and has the personnel this year to make for a good college basketball game," said Louisburg coach Bryan Bagwell. "The story of the night was rebounding. It was really fun to watch Ayinde [Taylor] and Tra[von Gray] go to the glass late." Taylor had 9 rebounds including 6 offensive, while Gray added 8 total rebounds.

Double figure scoring for the Hurricanes begins with Almando Cyrius (7-11), Jimmy Forte (7-15), and Jayden Munson (6-11). They each had 15 points to led the Hurricanes. Omar Brown had 13 points including 5-7 from the floor and 3-3 from the 3 point line. Taylor added 10 points.

Jayden Munson led the Hurricanes with 4 assists. 

The win takes men's basketball to a 5-2 in Region X play. The Hurricanes will travel to Central Carolina Community College on Saturday for a 3:00 tip off.
