Men's Basketball finds a way to win

Louisburg College men's basketball opened up the season on Tuesday against Central Carolina Community College at home in Roger Taylor Arena.

The halftime score was 30-26 Louisburg and the final remained a 4 point spread at 82-78.

"After hitting 12 three's in the first half of our final scrimmage, we didn't shoot it well in a game that counted," said Coach Bagwell. "However, I loved the way we found a win to win and were persistent on the glass."

The Hurricanes had 40 total rebounds in the game. Nineteen of those were offensive. Tim Robinson led the way with 10 rebounds–6 offensive. He was followed by Ayinde Taylor II and his 8 rebounds–5 offensive.

Both Central Carolina and Louisburg hit 9 threes. Both teams were also 15-28 FT line. Almando Cyrius lead the Hurricanes with 23 points. Taylor added 19 points. Jordan Kearney led the Hurricanes with 3 from long range.

Coach Bagwell commented, "Our assist stat is one that we are looking to improve upon since last year. Even though we didn't shoot it well today, Jayden Munson proved that he could become an elite passer for us." Munson had 7 assists.

Men's Basketball will tip off in the Jimmy Goldston classic on Friday at 7 pm against Spartanburg Methodist College.
