Louisburg College men's basketball outscored Southwest Virginia Community College on Sunday 114-94 in an offensive-heavy contest.

The Hurricanes jumped out to an early lead, however good shooting by Southwest Virginia allowed them to cut it to 2. Louisburg outscored Southwest by 20-12 in the final 4 minutes of the first half before Justin Stephens assisted Harry Cash on a 3 pointer at the buzzer to put the Hurricanes ahead 58-45.

The Hurricanes maintained and expanded that lead while hitting 21 three-point shots in the game. "It was nice to see the ball go in the basket," said Louisburg coach Bryan Bagwell. "We need to continue to work for better possessions moving into next week."

All Louisburg players scored Sunday. 6 players were in double figures. Jahiem Niblett led the Hurricanes with 27 points including 3 three-pointers. Justin Stephens added 17 points with 5 from downtown. Almando Cyrius had 13 points with 3 three-pointers. Amadi Lee-Kane had 12 points (all three-pointers). Jimmy Forte added 10 points with 2 threes.

Men's basketball will take on Bryant & Stratton next Wednesday at home for another must-win contest that will significantly impact tournament seeding.
