Men's Basketball traveled to Guilford Technical Community College on Saturday, December 4 for the Region X match up. The Hurricanes won both contests against Guilford Tech last year 81-75 and 114-99.
"Its always a tough place to play and not just trade baskets," said Louisburg coach Bryan Bagwell. "They play at such a high tempo that it's a big commitment to make possessions 5 on 5, so I was pleased with our defense at the start."
Louisburg won 91-73 and had five guys in double figures. Point guard Luke Jones led the way with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Anthony Harris had 16 on the night. He was 6-10 from the floor–also collecting 9 rebounds. Caleek Cobb added 15 points; Dedric Powell had 13 points; and Jahiem Niblett contributed 12 points. The Hurricanes collectively were 12-15 from the freethrow line.
Men's Basketball will play Fayetteville Tech on December 6 in Roger Taylor arena leading into fall exams.
