Men's Basketball splits with Fayetteville Tech

Men's Basketball faced off against Fayetteville Tech on Monday night leading into exams. The Hurricanes had already beaten Fayetteville Tech on the road in November, but could not get the win at home.

The Hurricanes struggled to score all night. They shot below 35% from the floor and had 19 turnovers. "We played hard enough defensively to win," said Coach Bagwell. "So when we had the poor start I was just hoping we would find an offensive flow and get back into it."

The Hurricanes cut it to six points several times in the second half, but never led in the game.

Anthony Harris had 16 points including 4 three-point baskets. Jahiem Niblett had a double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds (10 offensive). Dedric Powell added 10 points.

After exam week men's basketball will return to action on Saturday in a Region X match up against Patrick Henry. The game will be played in Roger Taylor Arena at 3:00 pm.
