Louisburg Comeback Falls Short

Louisburg College men's basketball took on Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute on Tuesday, November 30 in Roger Taylor Arena.

The Hurricanes were down 13 at the half. Although they won the last 20 minutes, Louisburg lost, 99-87.

"We turned the ball over early, but put up a good fight in the second half. We gave ourselves a chance to go ahead with several shots that could have cut it to two against a good Caldwell team," said Coach Bryan Bagwell.

Offensively, Luke Jones led the Hurricanes with 23 points on 8-13 field goals and 4 three-point baskets. Jahiem Niblett scored 16 points in the paint as he was an impressive 8-9 from the floor with 7 rebounds. Caleek Cobb had 12 points. Kevin Boykin added 10 points and 4 offensive rebounds. Anthony Harris and Harry Cash had 3 assists and 3 steals a piece.

The loss moves men's basketball to 5-4 on the season--still 2-1 in Region X play. The Hurricanes will travel to Guilford Tech on Saturday to tip off at 3 PM.
