Hurricanes Rebound against Southwest Virginia

Louisburg College men's basketball took a long road trip to Southwest Virginia to collect a 90-71 win Saturday afternoon.

"We missed a lot of shots early, but got 8 offensive rebounds in the first 4 minutes of the game and got into a groove with more and more second chances," said Coach Bagwell. The Hurricanes collected 48 rebounds in the contest and only had 11 turnovers.

Luke Jones led the Hurricanes in scoring with 18 points. Jahiem Niblett recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Caleek Cobb got into early foul trouble, but was able to add 16 points in limited minutes. Overall the Hurricanes shot 46% from the floor.

The win propels men's basketball to 4-3 overall, 2-1 in Region X play. The Hurricanes travel to Lenoir Community College on Monday for the last contest before the holiday.
