Men's Basketball defeated on the road

Louisburg College men's basketball was on the road Wednesday night to face off in their second game of region play--this time against Bryant & Stratton College.

"They beat us by eight in the 16:00-12:00 segment and we felt like we were playing from behind for the rest of the night even when we weren't," said Coach Bryan Bagwell.

It was tied in the final seconds of the first half before Bryant & Stratton hit a 3-point basket to end the half 34-31.

Louisburg came out strong to start the second half, but Bryant & Stratton took the lead with 14:00 to play and stretched it to a 79-63 final score.

Bryant & Stratton had good rim protection and Louisburg was only 2-7 from the free throw line for the game.

Offensively, Caleek Cobb led the Hurricanes with 23 points including 4 three's and 5 offensive rebounds. Luke Jones added 14 points, shooting 50% from the floor.

Men's basketball will face off against Southwest Virginia on the road saturday afternoon.
