On November 6th in Roger Taylor Arena Louisburg College men's basketball faced off against Spartanburg Methodist College in the Louisburg Classic. 

At half time the score was 39-23 Spartanburg Methodist. Coach Bagwell commented, "We were not playing well and we compounded that with nine missed layups."

The Hurricanes were able to hold the second half even for the first 16 minutes until Spartanburg Methodist ran away with it in the last 4 minutes 79-52.

Louisburg shot 17-71 from the floor, an abysmal 24%. Caleek Cobb led Louisburg with 11 points and Jahiem Niblett added 10. One bright spot for the Hurricanes was Justin Stephens 5 steals.

The loss puts men's basketball at 1-1 on the season. They take on CCBC Catonsville on the second day of the Louisburg Classic, Sunday at 4:00 pm.
