Men's Basketball outscores Patrick Henry

Louisburg College men's basketball took on Patrick Henry this weekend after an overtime thriller with Davidson-Davie on Thursday. The Hurricanes got out to a 7-0 lead very quickly and never looked back. The halftime score was 51-31 on the way to a 101-71 Louisburg victory.

Louisburg shot 48% from the floor, made 11 3-point field goals, and collected 11 offensive rebounds on the day.

Malik Bryant led Louisburg with 33 points while shooting 12/20 from the floor. Fabian Giebel had a career high 17 on 4-5 from 3-point land. JahQuez Sanders was perfect from 3 and the free throw line and recorded 14 points. Raja Milton added 5 assists.

"We got off to a sloppy start, because we jumped out to such a quick lead," said Coach Bryan Bagwell. "But coming out of half time both teams played much better basketball. I was very pleased with our effort and most of our execution in the second half."

The win moves the Hurricanes to 3-1 in Region X, 3-2 overall. The men will return to action at home on Wednesday versus Bryant & Stratton (VA). The game will tip off at 7 pm in Roger Taylor Arena.
