Bradley dunk propels Hurricanes late

Louisburg College men's basketball played its third game in a four game road stretch Saturday and defeated Guilford Technical Community College 81-75.

The Hurricanes could not extend an early lead, and so after losing the final four minutes of the first half by 7 the game was tied at 37.

Guilford Tech went on to lead for much of the second half until the game was tied again with four minutes to play. Sparked by a Keonte Bradley dunk, in the final minutes the Hurricanes found a way to win.

Malik Bryant led the Hurricanes again with 28 points on 9-12 from the floor and 8-10 from the freethrow line. Keonte Bradley finished with 14 points. Joe Barrino recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, with 4 blocks.

"We did not play well early, and were lucky to come away with the win," said Coach Bryan Bagwell. "By the end of the game we started figuring out how to get the shots we wanted and finished much better than we started."

The Hurricanes will travel to Davidson-Davie Community College on Thursday for a rematch of last year's Region X championship at 7 pm.
