Men's Basketball can't overcome early deficit

Louisburg College men's basketball faced Brunswick Community College Friday in the first regular season contest of 2020-21. Brunswick won the first 4 minutes 14-4 propelling them to an 100-84 victory.

"As much as we've tried to prepare, this is the first time that we've taken the floor since November 21 and it showed," said Coach Bryan Bagwell. "I'm glad that we kept fighting and won the second half, even though we weren't able to overcome our bad start."

Malik Bryant lead all scorers with 28 points, going 12-20 from the floor. For the Hurricanes, Bryant was followed by Keonte Bradley with 14 points on a 4-5 night from the 3-point line. JahQuez Sanders added 10.

The Hurricanes continue their 2020-21 campaign on January 27 at Central Carolina Community College. That game will tip off at 7 pm.
