Louisburg (30-4) outlasted South Suburban College in the 86-73 semifinal thriller on Friday night, and ensured their chance at coming home with the national championship.
It was a team effort for the Canes; four Louisburg players scored in double digits. Justice Cuthbertson and Jordan Oakley led the way with 17 points a piece, and Troy Locke and Derek McKnight each followed with 11 points.
The Hurricane defense played tight, and as Oakley led with 8 rebounds, the team forced 21 turnovers. The back and forth contest was 38-37 LC at the half, and saw the lead change 10 times.
