Louisburg started off on fire at the DII National Championship in Danville, Illinois. The Hurricanes defeated the Archers of St. Louis CC 92-70 to secure a spot in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, March 23rd.
Two Canes recorded double-doubles in outstanding performances on both sides of the ball. Josh Bougher scored 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Jaret Gassett sunk 11 points and also pulled down 10 rebounds. With Bougher, Jordan Oakley helped lead the team offensively with 16 points. Troy Locke added his touch to the game by tallying 15 points.
Louisburg will face Grand Rapids CC on Thursday, March 23rd at 9:00pm EST.
